Aiken Adopt A Parkway Clean Up
The Aiken Gay and Lesbian Community has adopted a parkway in Aiken! We meet 4 times per year at 12 noon to clean our parkway that is located at Hayne and Park Avenues. Participants should bring gloves and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. We welcome all members of the CSRA Gay and Lesbian Community to help even if you do not live in Aiken. Please join us for the next Aiken Gay and Lesbian Community Parkway Litter Pickup Saturday January 27. We'll meet at Park and Hayne at 11:00 am for the pick up. If you're really motivated, please join us for the SRS Gay, Lesbian or Bi Employees pickup at the corner of Richland and Newberry at 9:30 am that same morning. We could use the help! It's more important than ever that we have a good showing since the City has done a good job of replacing all the vandalized signs over recent months. The more the merrier.

Resource Directory
The CSRA Rainbow Alliance is working on a Business Resource Directory for the GBLT Community in the CSRA. This directory, which will be available in print and on the internet, will list GLBT owned or GLBT affirming businesses, organizations, churches, etc. in the Georgia-Carolina area.

Equal Rights Billboard
Representatives from the CSRA Rainbow Alliance and the SRA GLOBE (Gay, Lesbians or Bisexual Employees) met with Lamar Outdoor in 2004 and placed 3 bilboards that ran in various locations in Aiken and Augusta from August - November 2004.
Newsletter
The CSRA Rainbow Alliance has developed an electronic newsletter that will cover local, state, and national political, athletic, social, and cultural events. This newsletter is only available to current members.
Wedding Guide
Inspired by the Wedding Resource Guide that was developed and published by the SC Gay and Lesbian Pride Movement, the CSRA Rainbow Alliance now has a similar publication available for those living in the Aiken/Augusta area! Guides will soon be available at the Church of Our Redeemer, 557 Greene St. Augusta, Ga., local nightclubs and other gay friendly businesses. If you know of a florist, photographer, caterer, etc. that is supportive of same sex marriage and they would like to be listed in this guide, please send their name, address, phone number and e-mail address to:

Fairness for All Families Picnic
sponsored by the CSRA Rainbow Alliance & the Aiken County Fairness for All Families Council,
this event was held on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Odell Weeks Center WhiskeyRoad Picnic Shelter. Those who attended were committed to defeating the Family Discrimination Amendment was on the SC Ballot November 7, 2006.
